On the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding, we'll ride from Princeton to Trenton along the route taken by the British to attack the Continental Army on January 2, 1777 in the Second Battle of Trenton. We'll return to Princeton along the back-route taken by the Continental Army on the morning of January 3, 1777 to the Battle of Princeton, arriving in time to witness the battle reenactment.

On our way to Trenton, we'll note the skirmishes initiated by the Continental Army to delay the British advance. On our way back to Princeton, we'll visit twelve stone obelisks erected in 1914 to commemorate Washington's tactical triumph. See https://tencrucialdays.org/obelisks/

Participants are encouraged to register for the reenactment at https://pbs1777.org/experiencethebattle/. Rest stop will be the iconic Eet Good Bakery in Hamilton. The route includes two brief unpaved sections that will pose little challenge for road bikes, even on narrow tires.
