Dory Bike Hotel Trip; Riccione, Italy; May 11-18, 2024

Join other Freewheelers on a trip to the Dory Bike Hotel in Riccione, Italy. The Dory is a full-service cycling hotel on the Adriatic that has a wonderful reputation among cyclists which includes several Freewheelers who have recently stayed there.

The Giro d’Italia is scheduled to pass through Riccione during the week of May 12^th – 18^th. The 13^th stage starts in Riccione on the 17^th and promises to be an exciting time at the hotel where you can become swept up in the energy of a world class bicycle race.

Riccione is a beach town east of Florence and is very quaint and walkable.

Multiple guided routes of varying difficulty are available for cyclists each day. Riders can switch between groups depending on the challenge they seek. There are routes that one can select which are not very hilly. There is an optional Gran Fondo that occurs during Giro week that riders can join as a guest of the hotel (No additional fee). The earlier individuals commit, the better the rate will be.

Their website is not very good, however, answers to any questions, like rates for example through the US rep and by requesting a non-binding quote through their website. The rates are very reasonable.
