Last year I planned this route and rode it with Plain Jim. It‘s early for a metric but it‘s been a mild(ish) winter and I‘d like to make this a new yearly tradition. For those in-the-know about the Tour de Franklin, it raises a lot of money for the Franklin Food Bank- (https://franklinfoodbank.org/) It‘s a huge event, which I try to avoid, but I donate to the bank and also like this route! We will not have the SAG support that is available at the real Tour de Franklin in April, but depending on interest, we may not need much.
Ride Leaders- If interested in leading at different paces, please contact me.
Here is the route- https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42002461. There aren‘t many businesses along the route so you‘ll want to bring what you can. I recommend two bottles and any food you will want. The best stop options would be at the Deli at Harlinging & 206 or Montgomery Veteran‘s park (both about 30 miles in), and Colonial Park (about 55 miles in). I believe both have bathroom/ porta john options. (the Colonial Park stop isn‘t included in the route but will take us to the full metric in miles)
*RAIN CANCELS THE RIDE IF PREDICTED FOR ANY PART OF THE DAY!
