Guest Speaker - Joanna Tibbels
Joanna represents the Hotel Dory in Riccione, Italy. It is a full-service bike hotel in the center of Riccione, just 80 meters from the Adriatic Sea. For over 25 years it has been a benchmark for cycling enthusiasts from all over the world who want to enjoy the unique beauty of Romagna and love trying local delicacies. You only need to take part in one of the picnics organized at the hotel’s country estate to really understand what it means to be in Romagna; a unique opportunity to discover traditions and combine a passion for cycling with a passion for great food.
Hotel Dory offers programs to suit the needs of different types of cyclists: racing bikes, e-bikes, gravel bikes and mountain bikes. Multiple guided routes of varying difficulty are available for cyclists each day. Riders can switch between groups depending on the challenge they seek.
Groups of PFW members have visited the Hotel Dory in past years, and another group is headed there this upcoming May. If you‘ve ever considered joining in on a bike adventure (Hotel Dory or otherwise) this will be an informative session. In recent years small groups of PFW members have gone together to Sicily, Nevada, upstate New York, Martha‘s Vineyard, Vermont, among others. This year, besides the Hotel Dory, a group is heading to Nova Scotia this summer and another is considering cycling the Florida Keys in early December.
After Joanna‘s presentation and Q&A is completed, there will be time for a general Q&A session with the Board.
Therefore, please email any advance questions for Joanna Tibbels to PFW Board Member David Speis (email: therave17@verizon.net, and for the Board email to Mike Valazza (email: pfwclubpresident@gmail.com).
Thanks and the Board looks forward to seeing you all on the Zoom call!
